A home should be more than just where someone lives. It should be a place where they feel safe, relaxed and taken care of. Getting older comes with many physical, cognitive and emotional challenges that can mean that it becomes too difficult to live alone.
Leaving the place you’ve called home for many years can be daunting, but we’d love to welcome your loved one to ours, where they can become part of the Kirklands family. All of our residents are unique and our care is tailored to their needs and designed to help them to live a life that is healthy, active and as fulfilling as possible.
From specialist dementia provision to assisted living that enables residents maintain as much independence as possible, there’s a home at Kirklands to suit.
We pride ourselves on a reputation for delivering the very highest standards of residential care, and all of our homes are registered to admit residents with any stage of Dementia, as well as those who require much less support.
Residents with Dementia require very special care, and every member of Kirklands staff undergoes specialist training to ensure that this is at the heart of everything that we do. We’re mindful to continually reassess these residents so that we are proactive in planning for their future care needs. And our commitment to them means we stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments to ensure that they always receive the very highest levels of care.
My mum settled in very quickly and the friendly and attentive staff no doubt helped in this process.
The home is well maintained, the food is excellent and the whole atmosphere is homely and welcoming. In the words of mum "What's not to like". Knowing mum is safe, cared for and content is a great comfort to her family
